There is a little bit of wind sound made by the mass of water falling into the shower tub. At the end of the track you can hear me putting away the shower curtain. Recorded with olympus ls-3 two stereo microphones, one bass (middle) microphone. 96hz, 24bit.

This is a request for scrapthefur, but anyone may use these if you like. I said each line three times. I do this just in case the first one wasn't ideal. "no" may've been said six times, but that was because scrapthefur needed two separate nos. Hope it sounds okay.

Recorded on 20. 05. 2020 on schneealpe in styria, austria. Its funny - and a bit scary - that one can see the exact crevice the recording took place from a satellite. There was a bit of snow left from winter but rapidly melting. Drops fall from 30 cm to the rock below in different rhythms. Recorded with 2 km184 ab ~40cm apart into sounddevices 744. Unfortunately i had no proper windscreen and so there is quite some rumble up to 120hz. The rumble can be filtered out easily, but i left the recording as is (i normalized and converted from 96k to 48k in audacity).

This is the sound of metal dock posts being driven in during maintenance at a marina in vancouver, canada. They pounded some of them a hundred times without out any obvious movement. This is a recording of seven consecutive hits. There is a lot of echo after each strike with the slight sound of rattling chains after each one.

This caught my attention as an unfamiliar sound, and i actually had to investigate to learn what it was. It was the raindrops hitting some styrofoam bodyboards near a swimming pool, which at times sounded almost more like a hollow "pop" than a "drip. ". In the background one can hear thunder, rain, and the humming of a pool filtration system. Recorded with an iphone 7.

Hey, guys, i know it's been a while, but i'm making up for it with another cool sound effect - this one is a field recording during a rain storm. The exciting thing about recording and cataloging natural sounds is how you get nice, unexpected surprises. I was up early recently one spring day and did not have any real plans to record, until i stepped outside with my coffee to see what the weather was like and was nicely surprised with the light, steady spring rain that was falling in my yard; during the whole time this energetic carolina wren kept on singing through the rain. I rain, got my recorder and recorded a full hour of this peaceful pattering. You hear the drops hitting the concrete patio, the shingled overhang and a plastic chair. Zoom h4n recorder using the stereo built-in mics.

Td-3-tg recorded with zoom h-1. Td was performing slide through octaves with "slide" button pressed in program, and subsequent cs were played, in octave -1 and 0, and higher c in octave 0 and +1, back and forth. Program takes 7 16th notes and the space between notes takes 9 rests. Tempo of the td-3 was set to maximum and the volume control was set to high amount, to let zoom h-1 with rec level setting to 37, be driven up to -6db. Sound recorded in 96khz and 24bits. Trimmed and saved in flstudio edison, what made sound 32bit. No amplify, no normalisation. "tune" knob of td-3 was set to maximum as well as "cut off", "envelope" and "accent". "resonance" and "decay" was set to one o'clock. "waveform" swicth was set to square. No distortion. Zoom h-1 was plugged by a cable, td-3 output to line in. Cable was named vitalco - 1/8 inch trs to 1/4 ts, male to male, 3m.
